Welp, we’ve made it through June which mean’s this little blue planet of ours has reached its maximum tilt, but here at PUNCH things just seem to be getting hotter by the ever-loving minute. This July, we celebrate all of those who help make this scrappy little art space in rural central Washington possible by way of a legit members exhibition. From “Feather Weight” to “Heavy Weight,” we’ve invited all membership levels to step into our allegorical ring. Sir Elton John, you can eat your chevalier heart out, because this July, fighting isn’t reserved for Saturday nights. This affable bout is on view every Saturday in July, noon-5pm with extended hours until 8pm for the Last Saturday.
Come and feast your eyes upon this friendly fisticuffs. Rubbernecking is absolutely welcome. Prepare yourselves for everything from punk rock Polaroids to petrified bovines. From precious landscapes to piquant interiors. Animistic totems to anomalous Anime. Witness just how Bavarian a Brat Summer Blitz really can be. For those with equine sensibilities, there’s an encaustic stallion and a pocket-sized pony you’ll want to take home, or at least out to the pasture. This proverbial peepshow will have you titillated by a ghostly, disembodied nightgown, anatomically correct doilies and quite possibly, the most coquettish flasher we’ve yet to put on exhibition. And of course, there will be a collection of stuff by one of Ellensburg’s very own Art Treasures, a subterranean dream castle and at least one mermaid.
We can’t guarantee any knockouts, but you can be certain this showcase will knock your socks off. Come and witness this aesthetic slugfest and cast your vote for your favorite pugilist!
And stay tuned for the next iteration of the PUNCH bar. Our paranormal palace will yield itself to something more depth-defying as we take you on a journey twenty-thousand leagues under the sea. Keep your periscopes focused and your sonar calibrated!
