Art & Consulting
for Creative Spaces

The old fire house in Thorp has been in the PUNCH family since the early 2000s when one of PUNCH’s founding members Howard Barlow bought it from the volunteer Fire Department in a silent auction. Howard and his wife Lorraine lived and made work there. Their two kids spent the first years of their lives there. And after Howard and Lorraine moved into a “real house,” the Thorp fire house has been home to several other artists and their studios. In October 2021, PUNCH Projects officially took over the space and has created a gallery on the main floor with an artist residency on the second floor. There’s also a huge backyard space that will feature a stage and live performances starting Summer 2022. We are just an hour-and-half east of Seattle, and centrally located between Spokane, Portland and the Methow Valley. Our space will welcome the local community, visiting artists, travelers and guests from around the world to join us for art exhibitions, poetry readings, musical performances, film screenings, installations, performances, and other arts-related productions.

We look forward to welcoming you into our new space! Consider joining our e-mail list below to stay up-to-date on all the happenings and events. Thanks for supporting artist-run-spaces and arts and culture in rural communities.
