Building on a 13-year history of art exhibitions and projects across the Northwest, Punch Projects presents Boxing Day 2019. Join us in this free, family-friendly event to blow off those holiday doldrums and those figgy pudding hangovers. Punch will supply materials such as boxes, scissors and tape for families or individuals to fabricate unique constructions like robots, castles, cars, etc. This is our antidote to the consumer aspects of the holiday gift-giving, Boxing Day promotes imagination, invention, collaboration and reuse through art-making. Video projections will fill the space to stimulate creativity as well as groovy sounds provided by Black Grenade. Tasty beverages from Iron Horse Brewery, with proceeds benefiting Discovery Lab programming. An adult must accompany all minors. Extra cardboard is welcome and encouraged!
About PUNCH Projects
Founded in 2006, PUNCH Projects (formerly PUNCH Gallery) has worked to promote visual art made from artists outside of the urban centers. In our ongoing effort to promote artwork that is thoughtful, fresh and contemporary coupled with our desire to further bridge urban rural connections, PUNCH Projects seeks to support the cultural vibrancy of rural art scenes by spurring creative awareness, cross-cultural engagement and economic vitality.
This exhibition is made possible with
support from the Ellensburg Arts Commission.
A special thanks to Iron Horse Brewery. Bar proceeds benefit Discovery Lab programming and scholarships.
